Each pole is made from five sections of 7000-series aluminum alloy. The height is fully adjustable from 32 inches to 72 inches. We left the pole sections uncorded to increase versatility and make it easier to get the perfect length.
For backpackers, bring only three sections to pitch the perfect A-frame tarp shelter and save weight in your pack.
Or, you can use all five sections on your next car camping trip to make sure you have plenty of clearance under your tarp or awning.
Finally, you can even expand the length further. By skipping the lower section with the rubber foot, you can get the short end of the range down to only 18 inches. On the flip side, combine sections from both poles to get a single pole that is 10 feet long!
Why settle for tarp poles that limit you to very small adjustment ranges? Now you can have a single set that handles all your needs!
- Two (2) adjustable tarp poles
- Rip-stop nylon storage sack
Got these poles for use with the 10' x 12' Sanctuary Sil-Tarp as a cover for the picnic table when car camping. (Using the tarp with hiking poles when backpacking too.) Each pole has 5 sections. I set up one pole with six sections and one pole with 3 sections, placing the 3 section pole on top of the table about 18" from one end of the table. This leaves an uncovered section at that end of the table for the stove (no fumes captured under the tarp) and a nice extension of the tarp beyond the other end of the table for placing a couple of camp chairs under the tarp. Perfect!
I've used these poles once so far and they worked just as they look like they would. I used them on a system I'm working on to connect a tarp to the back of my pickup truck. I had both poles at full height. It rained all night, and some water built up on top of the tarp. The poles held up great. Plus, the way they disassemble allows for drying. That is to say, they don't fill up with water like some folks say the twist-lock type poles do. In my opinion, these poles work at 100% and I'd recommend them to anyone
Cracking product. Quick delivery
Small, light weight and sturdy. Will do nicely!
Overall they are good but ten days in on a trip one of the buttons stopped popping out to lock the sections together. I haven’t been able to figure out why. The spring seems to still be in place. By the end of the 26 day trip, the stitching on the bottom of the storage bag was completely gone.
