Product Description

Find incredible versatility, warmth, and comfort, in our Thermodown 15 down sleeping quilt. With excellent materials and performance, your search for a great backcountry quilt ends here!

Unmatched Versatility

Backcountry quilts offer incredible versatility that is unmatched by traditional sleeping bags.

On cold nights, our quilts can be easily closed up to form a standard mummy sleeping bag. Even the foot box can be closed up with cinch cords to keep the warmth in.

When the weather warms up, open up the quilt to keep you nice and comfortable. You can even adjust comfort throughout a backpacking trip as the weather changes.

Finally, use it as a simple blanket while enjoying a backcountry meal or high alpine sunset.

The beauty of quilts is that they can be adapted to suit almost everyone, in almost every situation. There's no need to have several sleeping bags for different seasons.

Superior Insulation

Each quilt is filled with 22 ounces of high-quality 700-fill power down (23 ounces for Long version) for amazing loft.

However, the added warmth does not compromise on size and weight. The quilt comes in at only 2 lb 3 oz. (2 lb. 6 oz. for Long version) and packs down to just 10 x 7 inches.

What's Included?

The quilt comes with a single strap to easily secure it to your sleeping pad. It will keep you on your pad at night and also prevent any drafts while you sleep.

In addition, we provide a durable compression sack to keep the packed size as small as possible.

Finally, between trips, use the included mesh storage bag to properly store the quilt.

How do I care for my new down quilt?

  1. When you first receive the quilt, run it in the dryer at the low-temperature or air fluff setting for about 20-30 minutes to loosen up the down that has been compressed during the shipping process.
  2. If you need to re-distribute any of the down filling inside the quilt, simply fold the quilt in half lengthwise and shake it. Gravity will cause the down to slowly migrate from the sides of the quilt to the middle where it will provide the best insulation. Another method is to lay your quilt out on a flat surface and gently move your hand over the baffles, starting from the sides and moving towards the center.
  3. When heading out on the trail, use the included compression sack to protect the quilt and also reduce the amount of space it takes up in your pack. Use care when stuffing the quilt into the compression sack.
  4. Between trips, store your quilt using the included mesh storage sack.
  5. Always wash your quilt by hand or a front-load tumble washer. Never use a top load washer. Never use bleach. Never take your quilt to a dry cleaner.

What items are eligible for a return?

To be eligible for a return and refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

If you've purchased a tent or tarp and would like to set it up in your backyard, please do so on a dry, clear day to keep the tent/tarp as clean as possible. Pitch the tent/tarp on dry grass if possible and use other stakes if you have them available. This will keep the tent/tarp and stakes in an unused condition to facilitate a return.

If items sent back for a return/exchange show clear signs of use (excessive dirt, animal hair, etc.), the return/exchange will be rejected and the items will be shipped back.

Are shipping fees refundable?

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the initial cost of shipping your order (if any) will be deducted from your refund.

Is return shipping free?

No, the cost of return shipping will be subtracted from the refund amount. We will provide a prepaid return label for the return shipment. The cost of return shipping will be provided to you along with the prepaid return label.

Please note that due to our shipping volume, we have access to significantly lower shipping rates than retail. As a result, the cost of the return shipping will be much lower, resulting in a higher refund.

Great!

Got to use this quilt for 2 nights with weather in the 40s! I misplaced the strap but even without I was toasty warm. The quilt is soft and lightweight, like a cloud. You may not want to crawl out! I contacted customer service to get a replacement strap, my email was answered within 8 hours and they are sending out a replacement strap. Great product, great customer service. How often does that happen these days!

Takes some getting used to

Very warm, I struggle using it as a traditional mummy bag as it's a bit tight for my liking. Strapping it to my sleeping pad made a huge difference, and I'll be doing that from now on!

After using this quilt on a couple different weekend trips I am very satisfied. I plan on getting the 30 degree for summer camping.

Two thumbs up. Kept me warm and is not confining like a sleeping bag. I’m 6’4” 230lbs so I need the room to move to feel comfortable and this quilt allows for free movement while keeping me warm. The straps to keep quilt in position with pad work well too.

Excellent quilt for the price

I bought my Paria quilt in Dec 2017. I have used it many times over the past several winters. We live in Maryland and winter of 2017-2018 was very cold. I had to learn how to use the quilt to make it effective. The first time I used it, the temps were around 14 degrees F, and I wore too many clothes initially and didn't get the benefit of the down. Since then I watched several "how to use a quilt" videos, and I really like this quilt especially for the money. I am 6' and weight about 200. The quilt fits me well. If you are like me and paying $350 for "custom made" quilt from Enlightened Equipment is out of your price range, this is a very good option. I am 66 and did a lot of backpacking as a Boy Scout. I am recently back into the sport and the lightweight equipment available these days is amazing. This quilt isn't the lightest, but at just around 2 1/2 pounds and $179.00 (I bought the long one) this is a great product. Make sure you watch the video on the website.

Love this quilt

This quilt is awesome. 22° out right now and I'm toasty warm. Using the 15 long as I'm 6'1 and it's perfect. Awesome value will be buying the wife one ASAP. She thought a quilt would be too cold but she tried it earlier and was immediately sold on it. Great loft, super warm, light and packs small, can't recommend enough!

Long Road Trip

In July 2020, I bought from Paria a 15F Quilt and also a Zion 3P Tent, preparing for a 4 month road trip. In August we left from Alabama and drove to New Mexico, then north back and forth thru the Rockies all the way to the Canadian border in Montana, then west thru the mountains all the way Bellingham WA, and then south all the way to La Paz, Baja. 90% of our miles were on dirt roads and small county roads... almost never on highways. My wife, 2 dogs and I tent-camped for free in National Forests, BLM Land, and Wildlife Preserves. We experienced many nights in the low 30s, and a few nights in the low 20s... we did dozens of 1-2 night backpacking trips... we experienced severe rain & wind storms, a grizzly bear walking thru our campsite, and many moose around wild rivers... we heard bugling elk, and rutting mountain goats, and huge flocks of geese overhead. We never had a bit of issue with either the quilt or the tent, and the tent was very easy to set-up and take-down, very modular and everything included. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say... Thanks Paria!

Very functional

Everyone needs a quilt. It embodies the comfort of your homes blanket, while also keeping moving sleepers under the quilt with the straps under the pad. It’s super functional for warmer temperatures too with being able to move under it like a traditional blanket. The treated down has kept the down from clumping in damp conditions also. Only issue I have is I wish the stuff sack was a little smaller to pack it down tighter.

Amazing Quilt!

This was my first quilt and I really love it! It packs down small and is really comfortable. It's great that it comes with both a mesh bag and stuff sack with compression straps. Using it with the Recharge pad makes for a perfect combo! Great product and fantastic value!
