You just finished a long day of hiking, found the perfect campsite with an epic view and are ready to settle in for the night. Nothing could be more perfect than cinching up your sleeping bag or quilt on a nice comfortable sleeping pad.
That's why we designed our ReCharge sleeping pads with comfort in mind. Narrower vertical baffles that run across the body create a smooth sleeping surface while the non-slip finish of the diamond rip-stop will keep you from sliding off the pad.
The ReCharge UL is our answer for backpackers and thru-hikers. Featuring a tapered 72 x 20-inch sleeping surface, 2.5 inches of thickness, and weighing only 20 ounces, it provides an incredible comfort-to-weight ratio.
We wanted our ReCharge pads to be true 3-season pads. We've laminated high-loft synthetic microfiber insulation to the interior of each pad to minimize air movement and maximize warmth. As a result, the ReCharge UL achieves an estimated R-value of 3.5.
Finally, we utilize a large two-way flat valve to make inflation quick and easy. The valve features an internal built-in flap to prevent air from escaping when inflating. Add our optional pump sack or tiny pump to make inflation a breeze.
ReCharge UL Insulated Sleeping Pad
Lightweight & easy to inflate/deflate. Comfortable sleeping.
I'm very satisfied with this pad. It worked well with my Paria 15 degree bag at 28 degrees. It works well in both a hammock and a tent. Has a decent R value for its price and doesn't make krinkling noises like other pricier pads I've tried. Now I see it comes with an inflator that's only $15 and can be used as a dry bag.
I was worried about sleeping on a sleeping pad because I typically "glamp" and this was my first time since middle school sleeping in a sleeping bag on the ground (I'm 36!). I'm also a side and stomach sleeper, so that makes it extra difficult to get comfy on hard surfaces. At the suggestion of another reviewer, I left it partially deflated and that gave me enough give for shoulders and knees to sink in. It was easy to inflate, a little challenging to deflate but easier once you do it a few times and get a process. Only thing I would change is getting the wider XL version, but it wasn't in stock and we needed it sooner. After looking all over REI and the internet, definitely the best quality/thickness/rating for the price.
Used in sub 40 fahrenheit weather and was warm. Easy to blow up, pack, and put away. First one had a small leak but customer service squared me away promptly
