Product Description

A Backpacker Magazine Top Pick!

You just finished a long day of hiking, found the perfect campsite with an epic view and are ready to settle in for the night. Nothing could be more perfect than cinching up your sleeping bag or quilt on a nice comfortable sleeping pad.

That's why we designed our ReCharge sleeping pads with comfort in mind. Narrower vertical baffles that run across the body create a smooth sleeping surface while the non-slip finish of the diamond rip-stop will keep you from sliding off the pad.

Our ReCharge XL is the king of comfort, with a spacious 76 x 23-inch sleeping surface and 4-inch thickness that will rival your mattress at home. However, it still weighs in at a pack-friendly 26 ounces.

We wanted our ReCharge pads to be true 3-season pads. We've laminated high-loft synthetic microfiber insulation to the interior of each pad to minimize air movement and maximize warmth. As a result, the ReCharge XL achieves an estimated R-value of 4.7.

Finally, we utilize a large two-way flat valve to make inflation quick and easy. The valve features an internal built-in flap to prevent air from escaping when inflating.

Specs and Sizing

  • Size: 76 x 23 inches, rectangular design to maximize comfort
  • Thickness: 4.0 inches
  • Estimated R-value: 4.7
  • Weight: 26 ounces
  • Packed size: 8 inches long by 5 inches in diameter
  • Material: 40 Denier TPU diamond rip-stop nylon
  • Insulation: Laminated 90g/m2 synthetic microfiber
  • Includes: sleeping pad, rip-stop nylon stuff sack, repair patches

How do I keep the valve open while deflating?

Our large two-way valve incorporates an internal flap to keep air escaping when inflating. However, this flap can make deflation difficult by constantly closing and keeping air from being pushed out.

To remedy this, we've added a small notch on the inside of the valve to keep the flap out of the way when trying to deflate the pad. Simply insert your finger into the valve opening and push the internal flap to around 90 degrees. It should then catch on the notch and stay in place. This will keep the airway open for easy deflation.

How do I make a repair using the included repair kit?

Please follow these steps to make a repair to your sleeping pad:

  1. Cut the repair patch to cover the puncture location and provide at least 1/2 inch of overlap. Try to keep the cut to a circular shape and avoid corners which can snag.
  2. Apply an adhesive to the leak area, extending slightly beyond the size of the patch.
  3. Press the entire patch down on the adhesive and squeeze down for 2-3 minutes to help the adhesive get a good grip.
  4. Let dry for 5-10 minutes, then apply another coat of adhesive on top of the patch and give it 15-20 minutes to cure. Depending on the location of the leak, you may want to apply an additional coat to help keep the patch down over curved areas.
  5. Let the pad dry flat overnight.

Recharge xl

I got the recharge XL and it looked really nice held air good. I have yet to take it camping and really put it through it's paces though. I slept on a plywood floor in a tuff shed with a heater inside at about 40 or 50 degrees F while it was in the negatives outside blowing snow. I had a plain square sleeping bag not sure what it was rated at but I got alittle cold with sweatpants and sweatshirt on and wool socks. I wasn't terribly cold but enough to wake me up and annoy me so I got up and went inside. I think primarily it was a drafty bag caue it wasn't a mummy bag, but it us what I has with me, and I very easily get cold feet. but it was soft, quiet, and I didn't fall off the pad. I like their equipment because it seems fairly good, lightweight for the price and would like to try more sometime when I get some more spare time and cash! As I want to transition to lighter more compact gear.

Very nice sleeping pad

Have only tested it for a week indoor so far. But it is nice to have a thick and wide sleeping pad in a compact and light size for this summers trips. I hope it will last a long time.............

Comfortable, quiet and packs down- everything I was looking for!

This past weekend was my first opportunity to break out my new sleeping pad and it was everything I was looking for! Lighter and smaller than my last pad, comfortable for a side/stomach sleeper, quiet during the times I’m moving around and I felt insulated from the ground. So happy I found this brand and pad! My only gripe is I wish the pump bag came with it instead of having to purchase separately.

Nice pad! Super comfortable, with not much to complain about, although I really wish they had a long and wide version. My elbows weren't touching the ground, but they definitely weren't on the pad. If it were a thinner pad, they would have been. I have back problems and when I let some of the air out, it really conformed to my shape and allowed me to get a good night's sleep in a tent. I'll have to put it to the test in colder temps, but on a 70 degree night it wasn't too hot to sleep on. It is a slick pad, so be prepared for that. On level ground it's not that big of a deal, but you can't plant your feet and bend your knees, at least not with socks on. Not a problem to this pad specifically, most backpacking air pads are like that. Maybe sleep socks with grips, like they give you in the hospital? All in all, great pad. I'm gonna get the short version for my daughter.
